Interview with Matt Tary, Ready2Cook’s PresidentHello Matt, can you please tell us a bit about yourself?

I am the fourth generation in our family business – which is focused on innovative packaging for consumers and the food service industry alike. I absolutely love to spend time in the kitchen but I absolutely hate the clean up, which is where the concept for our retail products began.

How do you describe your journey in few words?

It has certainly been a challenge to find the right materials, test to failure, and go back to the drawing board until everything is perfect. I am very proud of our suppliers who have worked alongside us to generate the very highest quality and the absolutely safest products in this category on the market today.

Where do you think you are making an impact?

We started Ready2Cook with a focus on making kitchen clean up super easy with our high temperature pan liners – no more scrubbing! These liners don’t tear or leak like foil, and they have the added benefit of doubling as a storage bag for leftovers. These pan liners also save gallons of water per pan, which definitely has an impact.


Can you tell us about Ready2Cook?

Ready2Cook is a brand that focuses on products that make cooking and clean up easy, fast, and convenient. We manufacture all of our products right here in the US, at a facility that meets the highest standards for food safety. We are dedicated to quality, and our commitment to our customers means we never use any films that contain BPA, Heavy Metals, or that don’t have FDA documentation for safe use.

What are your focus areas and why?

We focus on cooking! Its something that we love to do, and since everyone has to eat – might as well make it super easy!

Where do you see the company in the next 5 years?

We will continue to develop the Ready2Cook line into other areas of cooking, such as steam bags for vegetables and meal prep bags that allow you to prepare foods ahead of time, freeze for later, then pop into the oven and cook without defrosting.

What were some of the biggest challenges you encountered while working on Ready2Cook?

There is a lot of confusion in the market about what is safe to cook in and what isn’t. There are a lot of films that contain heavy metals or that don’t met FDA standards, and to the average consumer not knowing the difference can be problematic. That’s why we committed to total transparency in our materials and only sourcing and manufacturing our products in the US.


What can you tell young entrepreneurs who are pursuing their dreams?

Keep pushing – every setback is a lesson to build on.

What are you most excited about at the moment?

Finding new and innovative ways to continue to build our brand and find value for our customers!
